Josh Mooney

Josh’s connection to Haycock runs deep stretching back to 1992 when he first arrived as a five‑year‑old for Father–Son Weekend with his dad and brothers. Those early memories sparked a lifelong love for camp ministry and for the mission of raising up godly men.

At fifteen, Josh followed in his brothers’ footsteps and joined the Leadership Growth Program (LGP) in 2002. He went on to serve on summer staff through 2008, including leading LGP in 2007 and 2008. His passion for stewardship and leadership led him to join the Finance Committee in 2010, and he began serving on the Board in 2012, eventually stepping into the role of Treasurer. After completing his first board term in 2020, Josh rejoined the Board in 2025 before transitioning off in 2026 to accept the role of Operations Director.

Josh loves Haycock because he believes deeply in its mission: showing boys what it looks like to become men of character, courage, and faith. Camp shaped him, and he is committed to helping shape the next generation in the same way.

When he’s not at camp, you can find Josh processing loans for his lending business, serving in his local church, coaching Basketball or enjoying a round of golf. He and his amazing wife are raising three energetic and wonderful kids who share their love for adventure and community.
