What is camp’s policy regarding dietary needs?

Camp will provide 3 balanced meals a day. It is not always possible for camp to accommodate the needs of individual campers with significant dietary restrictions. We ask that you provide pre-made frozen meals as an alternative for any dietary restrictions.

Is a physician’s signature required for summer camp?

YES! Be advised that doctors’ policies differ. If your child had an exam recently, a new one may not be required. Contact your doctor as soon as possible and arrange to have the health form signed. A health form is not required for our Parent/Child programs.

What if I can’t get a doctor’s appointment before camp starts?

Our camp policy requires us to have a health form signed by a doctor for each camper. You will need to find a local clinic or hospital where your child can be given a camper exam. Some pharmacies also offer inexpensive physicals, so please check your local store if needed.

Does a parent or guardian have to sign the health form?

Yes.

Can I mail the health form to camp?

NO! Don’t run the risk of this important form being lost or delayed in the mail. Bring it with you instead. Campers without a doctor’s signature cannot and will not be admitted to camp.

Will items left at camp be returned?

Items left behind are given to charity unless claimed within one week. Call immediately if something was left behind. We will try to locate it. Remember to LABEL all items.

Is it okay to be early for check-ins?

Check-in begins as scheduled. Early arrival won’t result in early check-ins. Camp staff is not responsible for supervising campers not checked in.

Is it okay to be late for check-in?

Make arrangements with the camp office during business hours if you know in advance that you will not be on time for check-in.

How much camp store money is customary?

$15 will cover the maximum of three food items per day. Envelopes, stamps, shirts, etc. are extra. Unused funds can be returned at check-out. Monies not picked up will be donated to our Campership Fund which allows families facing financial difficulties to send a child to camp.

Can we make a cabin mate request? How about a counselor?

Let us know and we’ll be happy to oblige! For cabin mates, make sure both children are registered for the same week and program. We will do our best to accommodate requests for a specific counselor, but we cannot guarantee them.

What is Haycock’s refund policy?

Tuition for all camp programs includes a $100 non-refundable deposit, however this deposit may be transferred to another program in the same year. In the event of a registration cancellation, payments beyond the non-refundable deposit may be refunded or transferred to another program. In the event of injury or illness during a camp program, tuition will not be refunded. If a program is cancelled by Haycock, a full refund, including the $100 deposit, will be made available, or the tuition may be transferred.
