Father/Son Canoe Adventure

Brave the Delaware river together as father and son! Whether you’re experienced at canoeing or it’s your first time, we’ll take you on an overnight river adventure that you’ll never forget.

Who can come to camp?

This retreat is designed for boys ages 12 and up to attend a weekend at camp with their dad or another adult role model. You’ll be canoeing and camping out on the banks of the Delaware river, so be ready to rough it!

Schedule

Friday night, you’ll prep for your trip, and the group will depart from camp on Saturday morning. You’ll camp out Saturday night, and wrap up on Sunday morning. Please note that the times are estimates; the river’s speed can vary and each group is different!

what to bring

  • Bible
  • Sleeping Bag or Sheets & Blanket (Twin sized) and Pillow
  • Flashlight
  • Several changes of clothes, including long pants and sweatshirt
  • Bug spray and sunscreen
  • Toiletries
  • Rain Gear
  • Swimsuit and Towel
  • You can bring your own camping gear (tents, etc.) or use camp’s gear.

  • Axes, hatchets, large knives

  • Drugs, alcohol, cigarettes

Lodging

We provide rustic lodging options for our weekend retreats. On Friday night, you’ll camp out in a Lean To site, and Saturday night you’ll be on the river. Bedding is not provided, so bring a sleeping bag and pillow.

Bathrooms

 Bathroom facilities are located in standalone washhouses located near lodging options, one in the Stockade cabins and one near the Lodge. Showers are available in the main wash house. None of our lodging options are equipped with running water.

Meals

Meals are provided from Saturday breakfast to Sunday lunch, and an evening snack is provided both Friday and Saturday evening. We provide several options during each meal, It is not always possible for camp to accommodate the needs of individual campers with significant dietary restrictions.

Frequently Asked Questions

What time does camp start and end?

  • Check-in begins at 7:00 PM on Friday. Please note that dinner is not provided on Friday, so be sure to eat before you come to camp. The trip usually concludes at 1:00 PM on Sunday, but the time depends on the group’s pace and can vary.
